Our Response to the HRC 2026 CEI Report
Did you know that buying nail polish from Ulta encourages children to cut off contact with their parents? Did you also know that your burrito bowl from Chipotle funds gender transition surgeries for minors? This is the result of the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI). For decades, the index has pressured companies into funding practices that are ultimately harmful to children. All while assuring companies and customers that they’re advancing “equality.”
Here’s what a company that scored a perfect 100 on the Corporate Equality Index might be doing to get that score:
Chasing “Corporate Social Responsibility” points by funding and participating in Pride Parades and supporting far-left organizations like The Trevor Project and Point of Pride—both of which encourage and facilitate the gender transition of minors.
Non-discrimination policies that treat “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” as protected and specially privileged statuses leading to:
- Accommodating multi-gender bathroom policies
- Requiring “pronoun acceptance”
- Designating a diversity council
Health coverage offers “inclusive benefits” that include so-called “gender transition” procedures and cross-sex hormones. As of 2019, 1 in 3 insurance plans now cover puberty-blockers for minors.
The CEI rewards corporations that expand health coverage to include domestic partnerships. 94% of domestic partnerships break up before the 10-year mark, devastating the children of these couples.
“Family formation” benefits that facilitate third-party reproduction, including use of third-party gametes and surrogates for single employees and those in same-sex relationships.
At the encouragement of the CEI, the following companies fund sex hormone therapy for minors: Amazon, American Express, Apple, Ben & Jerry’s, Chipotle, Ebay, Home Depot, Kroger, Microsoft, Wendy’s, Disney, Visa, UPS, Truist, The Knot, Starbucks, Spotify, and Meta.
It’s time for consumers, shareholders, and business leaders to stand up to the CEI. HRC is Harming the Rights of Children.
